1. എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; പഴം പറിച്ച ശേഷമെന്നപോലെയും മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം പറിച്ചശേഷം കാലാ പെറുക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ഞാന് ആയല്ലോ! തിന്മാന് ഒരു മുന്തിരിക്കുലയും ഇല്ല; ഞാന് കൊതിക്കുന്ന അത്തിയുടെ തലപ്പഴവുമില്ല.

1. Woe to me! for I have become like the leavings of summer fruit, like the gleanings when the vintage is finished- there isn't a cluster worth eating, no early-ripened fig that appeals to me.

2. ഭക്തിമാന് ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു നശിച്ചുപോയി, മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയില് നേരുള്ളവന് ആരുമില്ല; അവരൊക്കെയും രക്തത്തിന്നായി പതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ സഹോദരനെ വല വെച്ചു പിടിപ്പാന് നോക്കുന്നു.

2. The godly have been destroyed from the land, there is no one upright among humankind. They all lie in wait for blood, each hunts his brother with a net.

3. ജാഗ്രതയോടെ ദോഷം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ കൈ അതിലേക്കു നീണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; പ്രഭു പ്രതിഫലം ചോദിക്കുന്നു; ന്യായാധിപതി പ്രതിഫലം വാങ്ങി ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്നു; മഹാന് തന്റെ മനസ്സിലെ ദുരാഗ്രഹം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് പിരിമുറുക്കുന്നു.

3. Their hands do evil well. The prince makes his request, the judge grants it for a price, and the great man expresses his evil desires- thus they weave it together.

4. അവരില് ഉത്തമന് മുള്പടര്പ്പുപോലെ; നേരുള്ളവന് മുള്വേലിയെക്കാള് വല്ലാത്തവന് തന്നേ; നിന്റെ ദര്ശകന്മാര് പറഞ്ഞ ദിവസം, നിന്റെ സന്ദര്ശനദിവസം തന്നേ, വരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോള് അവരുടെ പരിഭ്രമം വന്നുഭവിക്കും.

4. The best of them is a briar, the most upright worse than a thorn hedge. The time of your watchmen- of your punishment- has come; now they will be confused.

5. കൂട്ടുകാരനെ വിശ്വസിക്കരുതു; സ്നേഹിതനില് ആശ്രയിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തു ശയിക്കുന്നവളോടു പറയാതവണ്ണം നിന്റെ വായുടെ കതകു കാത്തുകൊള്ക.

5. Don't trust in your neighbor; don't put confidence in a close friend; shut the gates of your mouth even from [[your wife]], lying there with you in bed.

6. മകന് അപ്പനെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു; മകള് അമ്മയോടും മരുമകള് അമ്മാവിയമ്മയോടും എതിര്ത്തുനിലക്കുന്നു; മനുഷ്യന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് അവന്റെ വിട്ടുകാര് തന്നേ.

6. For a son insults his father, a daughter rises against her mother, daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law- a person's enemies are the members of his own household.

7. ഞാനോ യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കും; എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നായി കാത്തിരിക്കും; എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കും.

7. But as for me, I will look to ADONAI, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

8. എന്റെ ശത്രുവായവളേ, എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിക്കരുതു; വീണു എങ്കിലും ഞാന് വീണ്ടും എഴുന്നേലക്കും; ഞാന് ഇരുട്ടത്തു ഇരുന്നാലും യഹോവ എനിക്കു വെളിച്ചമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. Enemies of mine, don't gloat over me! Although I have fallen, I will rise; though I live in the dark, ADONAI is my light.

9. യഹോവ എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തി എനിക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരുവോളം ഞാന് അവന്റെ ക്രോധം വഹിക്കും; ഞാന് അവനോടു പാപം ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ; അവന് എന്നെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കയും ഞാന് അവന്റെ നീതി കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

9. I will endure ADONAI's rage, because I sinned against him; until he pleads my cause and judges in my favor. Then he will bring me out to the light, and I will see his justice.

10. എന്റെ ശത്രു അതു കാണും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എവിടെ എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞവളെ ലജ്ജ മൂടും; എന്റെ കണ്ണു അവളെ കണ്ടു രസിക്കും; അന്നു അവളെ വീഥികളിലെ ചെളിപോലെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളയും.

10. My enemies will see it too, and shame will cover those who said to me, 'Where is ADONAI your God?' I will gloat over them, as they are trampled underfoot like mud in the streets.

11. നിന്റെ മതിലുകള് പണിവാനുള്ള നാള്വരുന്നുഅന്നാളില് നിന്റെ അതിര് അകന്നുപോകും.

11. That will be the day for rebuilding your walls, a day for expanding your territory,

12. അന്നാളില് അശ്ശൂരില്നിന്നും മിസ്രയീംപട്ടണങ്ങളില്നിന്നും മിസ്രയീം മുതല് നദിവരെയും സമുദ്രംമുതല് സമുദ്രംവരെയും പര്വ്വതംമുതല് പര്വ്വതംവരെയും അവര് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരും.

12. a day when [[your]] people will come [[back]] to you from Ashur and from the cities of Egypt, from Egypt and from as far as the Euphrates River, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.

13. എന്നാല് ഭൂമി നിവാസികള്നിമിത്തവും അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ഫലം ഹേതുവായും ശൂന്യമായ്തീരും.

13. The earth will be desolate for those living in it, as a result of their deeds.

14. കര്മ്മേലിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ കാട്ടില് തനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും നിന്റെ അവകാശവുമായി നിന്റെ ജനമായ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെ നിന്റെ കോല്കൊണ്ടു മേയിക്കേണമേ; പുരാതനകാലത്തു എന്നപോലെ അവര് ബാശാനിലും ഗിലെയാദിലും മേഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കട്ടെ.

14. Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock that belongs to you, who live alone, like a forest in the middle of a fertile pasture. Let them feed in Bashan and Gil'ad, as they did in days of old.

15. നീ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ട കാലത്തെന്നപോലെ ഞാന് അവനെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങള് കാണിക്കും.

15. 'As in the days when you came out of Egypt, I will show them wonders.'

16. ജാതികള് കണ്ടിട്ടു തങ്ങളുടെ സകലവീര്യത്തിലും ലജ്ജിക്കും; അവര് വായ്മേല് കൈ വെക്കയും ചെകിടരായ്തീരുകയും ചെയ്യും.

16. The nations will see and be put to shame, in spite of all their power. They will cover their mouths with their hands, and their ears will be deafened.

17. അവര് പാമ്പുപോലെ പൊടിനക്കും; നിലത്തെ ഇഴജാതിപോലെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഗുഹകളില്നിന്നു വിറെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു വരും; അവര് പേടിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കല് വരികയും നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.

17. They will lick the dust like snakes; they will emerge from their fortresses trembling like reptiles that crawl about on the earth; they will come with fear to ADONAI our God, afraid because of you.

18. അകൃത്യം ക്ഷമിക്കയും തന്റെ അവകാശത്തില് ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവരോടു അതിക്രമം മോചിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നിന്നോടു സമനായ ദൈവം ആരുള്ളു? അവന് എന്നേക്കും കോപം വെച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നില്ല; ദയയിലല്ലോ അവന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ളതു.

18. Who is a God like you, pardoning the sin and overlooking the crimes of the remnant of his heritage? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in grace.

19. അവന് നമ്മോടു വീണ്ടും കരുണ കാണിക്കും നമ്മുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളയും; അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും നീ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ആഴത്തില് ഇട്ടുകളയും.

19. He will again have compassion on us, he will subdue our iniquities. You will throw all their sins into the depths of the sea.

20. പുരാതനകാലംമുതല് നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തത നീ യാക്കോബിനോടും നിന്റെ ദയ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടും കാണിക്കും.
