1. ശലോമോന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും തന്റെ അരമനയും ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരം കൊണ്ടു പണിതശേഷം

1. And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,

2. ഹൂരാം ശലോമോന്നു കൊടുത്ത പട്ടണങ്ങളെ ശലോമോന് പണിതുറപ്പിച്ചു അവിടെ യിസ്രായേല്യരെ പാര്പ്പിച്ചു.

2. That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

3. അനന്തരം ശലോമോന് ഹമാത്ത്-സോബയിലേക്കു പോയി അതിനെ ജയിച്ചു;

3. And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.

4. അവന് മരുഭൂമിയില് തദ്മോരും ഹമാത്തില് അവന് പണിതിരുന്ന സംഭാരനഗരങ്ങളുമെല്ലാം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

4. And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.

5. അവന് മേലത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോനും താഴത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോനും മതിലുകളോടും വാതിലുകളോടും ഔടാമ്പലുകളോടും കൂടിയ ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളായും

5. Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

6. ബാലാത്തും ശലോമോന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സകല സംഭാരനഗരങ്ങളും സകലരഥനഗരങ്ങളും കുതിരച്ചേവകര്ക്കുംള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളും യെരൂശലേമിലും ലെബാനോനിലും തന്റെ രാജ്യത്തു എല്ലാടവും പണിവാന് ശലോമോന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതൊക്കെയും പണിതു.

6. And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

7. ഹിത്യര്, അമോര്യ്യര്, പെരിസ്യര്, ഹിവ്യര്, യെബൂസ്യര് എന്നിങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലില് ഉള്പ്പെടാത്ത ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള സകലജനത്തെയും

7. As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,

8. യിസ്രായേല്യര് സംഹരിക്കാതെ പിന്നീടും ദേശത്തു ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന അവരുടെ മക്കളെയും ശലോമോന് ഇന്നുവരെയും ഊഴിയവേലക്കാരാക്കി.

8. But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.

9. യിസ്രായേല്യരില്നിന്നോ ശലോമോന് ആരെയും തന്റെ വേലകൂ ദാസന്മാരാക്കിയില്ല; അവര് യോദ്ധാക്കളും അവന്റെ സേനാനായകശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരും രഥങ്ങള്ക്കും കുതിരച്ചേവകര്ക്കും അധിപന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.

9. But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.

10. ശലോമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രധാന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മേല്വിചാരകന്മാരുമായ ഇവര് ഇരുനൂറ്റമ്പതുപേര് ആയിരുന്നു.

10. And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.

11. ശലോമോന് ഫറവോന്റെ മകളെ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തില്നിന്നു താന് അവള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി പണിത അരമനയില് കൊണ്ടുപോയി പാര്പ്പിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ അരമനയില് എന്റെ ഭാര്യ പാര്ക്കരുതു; യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം അവിടെ വന്നിരിക്കയാല് അതു വിശുദ്ധമല്ലോ എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

11. And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.

12. ശലോമോന് താന് മണ്ഡപത്തിന്നു മുമ്പില് പണിത യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല്

12. Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,

13. അതതു ദിവസത്തേക്കു വേണ്ടിയിരുന്നതു പോലെ മോശെയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ശബ്ബത്തുകളിലും അമാവാസ്യകളിലും ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലും പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഉത്സവത്തില്, വാരോത്സവത്തില്, കൂടാരങ്ങളുടെ ഉത്സവത്തില് ഇങ്ങനെ ആണ്ടില് മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യവും യഹോവേക്കു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിച്ചുപോന്നു.

13. Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

14. അവന് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ നിയമപ്രകാരം പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ ക്കുറുകളെ അവരുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കും അതതു ദിവസം വേണ്ടിയിരുന്നതുപോലെ സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാനും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പില് ശുശ്രൂഷിപ്പാനും ലേവ്യരെ അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്ക്കും വാതില്കാവല്ക്കാരെ അവരുടെ ക്കുറുകള്ക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം അതതു വാതിലിന്നു നിയമിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു ദൈവപുരുഷനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ കല്പന.

14. And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

15. യാതൊരു കാര്യത്തിലും ഭണ്ഡാരത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചും പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും ലേവ്യരോടും ഉണ്ടായ രാജകല്പന അവര് വിട്ടുമാറിയില്ല.

15. And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

16. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനമിട്ടനാള്മുതല് അതു തീരുംവരെ ശലോമോന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ഒക്കെയും സാദ്ധ്യമായ്വന്നു; അങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിതുതീര്ന്നു.

16. Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.

17. ആ കാലത്തും ശലോമോന് എദോംദേശത്തു കടല്ക്കരയിലുള്ള എസ്യോന് -ഗേബെരിലേക്കും ഏലോത്തിലേക്കും പോയി.

17. Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.

18. ഹൂരാം തന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്മുഖാന്തരം കപ്പലുകളെയും സമുദ്രപരിചയമുള്ള ആളുകളെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചു; അവര് ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഔഫീരിലേക്കു ചെന്നു നാനൂറ്റമ്പതു താലന്ത് പൊന്നു വാങ്ങി ശലോമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

18. And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
