1. യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു ഉപമകളായി പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And Iesus answered and spake vnto them agayne in similitudes sayinge.

2. “സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം തന്റെ പുത്രന്നു വേണ്ടി കല്യാണസദ്യ കഴിച്ച ഒരു രാജാവിനോടു സദൃശം.

2. The kingdome of heve is lyke vnto a certayne kynge which maryed his sonne

3. അവന് കല്യാണത്തിന്നു ക്ഷണിച്ചവരെ വിളിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദാസന്മാരെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവര്ക്കോ വരുവാന് മനസ്സായില്ല.

3. and sent forth his servantes to call them that were byd to the weddinge and they wolde not come.

4. പിന്നെയും അവന് മറ്റു ദാസന്മാരെ അയച്ചുഎന്റെ മുത്താഴം ഒരുക്കിത്തീര്ന്നു, എന്റെ കാളകളെയും തടിപ്പിച്ച മൃഗങ്ങളെയും അറുത്തു, എല്ലാം ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; കല്യാണത്തിന്നു വരുവിന് എന്നു ക്ഷണിച്ചുവരോടു പറയിച്ചു.

4. Ageyne he sent forth other servauntes sayinge: Tell them which are bydden: beholde I have prepared my dynner myne oxen and my fatlinges are kylled and all thinges are redy come vnto the mariage.

5. അവര് അതു കൂട്ടാക്കാതെ ഒരുത്തന് തന്റെ നിലത്തിലേക്കും മറ്റൊരുത്തന് തന്റെ വ്യാപാരത്തിന്നും പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

5. But they made light of it and went their wayes: one to his ferme place another about his marchaundise

6. ശേഷമുള്ളവര് അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചു അപമാനിച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

6. the remnaunt toke his seruantes and intreated them vngodly and slewe them.

7. രാജാവു കോപിച്ചു സൈന്യങ്ങളെ അയച്ചു ആ കുലപാതകന്മാരെ മുടിച്ചു അവരുടെ പട്ടണം ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

7. When the kinge hearde that he was wroth and send forth his warryers and distroyed those murtherers and brent vp their cyte.

8. പിന്നെ അവന് ദാസന്മാരോടുകല്യാണം ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ യോഗ്യരായില്ല.

8. Then sayde he to his servauutes: the weddinge was prepared. But they which were bydden were not worthy.

9. ആകയാല് വഴിത്തലെക്കല് ചെന്നു കാണുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും കല്യാണത്തിന്നു വിളിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. Go ye therfore out into ye hyewayes and as many as ye finde byd them to the mariage.

10. ആ ദാസന്മാര് പെരുവഴികളില് പോയി, കണ്ട ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെയും നല്ലവരെയും എല്ലാം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; കല്യാണശാല വിരുന്നുകാരെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു.

10. The seruauntes wet out into the hiewayes and gaddered to gedder as many as they coulde fynde both good and bad and ye weddinge was furnysshed with gestes.

11. വിരുന്നുകാരെ നോക്കുവാന് രാജാവു അകത്തു വന്നപ്പോള് കല്യാണവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാത്ത ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ അവിടെ കണ്ടു

11. Then the kynge came in to viset the gestes and spyed there a ma which had not on a weddinge garment

12. സ്നേഹിതാ നീ കല്യാണവസ്ത്രം ഇല്ലാതെ ഇവിടെ അകത്തു വന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നാല് അവന്നു വാക്കു മുട്ടിപ്പോയി.

12. and sayde vnto him: frende how fortuned it that thou camest in hither and hast not on a weddyng garment? And he was eve spechlesse.

13. രാജാവു ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരോടുഇവനെ കയ്യും കാലും കെട്ടി ഏറ്റവും പുറത്തുള്ള ഇരുട്ടില് തള്ളിക്കളവിന് ; അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. Then sayde the kynge to his ministers: take and bynde hym hand and fote and caste hym into vtter darcknes there shalbe wepinge and gnasshinge of teth.

14. വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് അനേകര്; തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ചുരുക്കം.”

14. For many are called and feawe be chosen.

15. അനന്തരം പരീശന്മാര് ചെന്നു അവനെ വാക്കില് കുടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആലോചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു

15. Then wet the Pharises and toke counsell how they might tagle him in his wordes.

16. തങ്ങളുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ ഹെരോദ്യരോടു കൂടെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചുഗുരോ, നീ സത്യവാനും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി നേരായി പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനും മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുഖം നോക്കാത്തവന് ആകയാല് ആരെയും ശങ്കയില്ലാത്തവനും ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

16. And they sent vnto him their disciples with Herodes servauntes sayinge: Master we knowe yt thou are true and teachest the waye of god trulie nether carest for eny man for thou consydrest not menes estate.

17. നിനക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? കൈസര്ക്കും കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതരേണം എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

17. Tell vs therfore: how thynkest thou? Is it lawfull to geve tribute vnto Cesar or not?

18. യേശു അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത അറിഞ്ഞു“കപട ഭക്തിക്കാരേ, എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

18. Iesus perceaved their wikednes and sayde: Why tempte ye me ye ypocrites?

19. കരത്തിന്നുള്ള നാണയം കാണിപ്പിന്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

19. Let me se ye tribute money. And they toke hym a peny.

20. അവന് അവരോടു“ഈ സ്വരൂപവും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേതു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചുതിന്നു കൈസരുടേതു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

20. And he sayde vnto them: whose is this ymage and superscripcion?

21. “എന്നാല് കൈസര്ക്കുംള്ളതു കൈസര്ക്കും ദൈവത്തിനുള്ളതു ദൈവത്തിന്നും കൊടുപ്പിന്” എന്നു അവര് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. They sayde vnto him: Cesars. Then sayde he vnto them. Geve therfore to Cesar that which is Cesars: and geve vnto god that which is goddes.

22. അവര് കേട്ടു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ വിട്ടു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

22. When they hearde that they marveled and lefte hym and went there waye.

23. പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന സദൂക്യരും അന്നു അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു

23. The same daye the Saduces came to him (which saye that there is no resurrcecion) and axed him

24. ഗുരോ, ഒരുത്തന് മക്കള് ഇല്ലാതെ മരിച്ചാല് അവന്റെ സഹോദരന് അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ ദേവരവിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു തന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

24. sayinge: Master Moses bade yf a man dye havinge no chyldre that the brother mary his wyfe and reyse vp seed vnto his brother.

25. എന്നാല് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഏഴു സഹോദരന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവരില് ഒന്നാമത്തവന് വിവാഹം ചെയ്തശേഷം മരിച്ചു, സന്തതി ഇല്ലായ്കയാല് തന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ സഹോദരന്നു വിട്ടേച്ചു.

25. Ther were wt vs seven brethre and the fyrste maried and deceased wt oute yssue and lefte his wyfe vnto his brother.

26. രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും ഏഴാമത്തവന് വരെയും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

26. Lykewise the seconde and ye thryd vnto the sevethe.

27. എല്ലാവരും കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഒടുവില് സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.

27. Laste of all the woman dyed also.

28. എന്നാല് പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തില് അവള് ഏഴുവരില് ആര്ക്കും ഭാര്യയാകും? എാല്ലവര്ക്കും ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

28. Now in the resurreccion whose wyfe shall she be of the seven? For all had her.

29. അതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു“നിങ്ങള് തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെയും ദൈവശക്തിയെയും അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു.

29. Iesus answered and sayde vnto the: ye are deceaved and vnderstonde not the scriptures nor yet the power of God.

30. പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തില് അവര് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നില്ല, വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അത്രേ ആകുന്നു.

30. For in the resurreccion they nether mary nor are maryed: but are as the angels of God in heven.

31. മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങള് വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

31. As touchynge the resurreccion of the deed: have ye not redde what is sayde vnto you of God which sayeth:

32. ഞാന് അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു അവന് അരുളി ച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്നാല് അവന് മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമത്രേ.”

32. I am Abrahams God and Ysaacks God and the God of Iacob? God is not the God of the deed: but of the lyvinge.

33. And when the people hearde that they were astonyed at his doctrine.

34. സദൂക്യരെ അവന് മിണ്ടാതാക്കിയപ്രകാരം കേട്ടിട്ടു പരീശന്മാര് ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടി,

34. When the Pharises had hearde how yt he had put the Saduces to silence they drewe to gedder

35. അവരില് ഒരു വൈദികന് അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു

35. and one of them which was a doctoure of lawe axed a question teptinge h m and sayinge:

36. ഗുരോ, ന്യാപ്രമാണത്തില് ഏതു കല്പന വലിയതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

36. Master which is ye chefe comaundment in the lawe?

37. യേശു അവനോടു“നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താവിനെ നീ പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണാത്മാവോടും പൂര്ണ്ണ മനസ്സോടും കൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.

37. Iesus sayde vnto him: love the Lorde thy God wt all thine herte with all thy soule and with all thy mynde.

38. ഇതാകുന്നു വലിയതും ഒന്നാമത്തേതുമായ കല്പന രണ്ടാമത്തേതു അതിനോടു സമം

38. This is the fyrst and the chefe comaundement.

39. കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.

39. And ther is another lyke vnto this. Love thyne neghbour as thy selfe.

40. ഈ രണ്ടു കല്പനകളില് സകലന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

40. In these two commaundemetes hange all the lawe and the Prophetes.

41. പരീശന്മാര് ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോള് യേശു അവരോടു

41. Whyll the Pharises were gaddered togeder Iesus axed

42. “ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു?” അവന് ആരുടെ പുത്രന് എന്നി ചോദിച്ചു; ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന് എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

42. the sayinge: what thinke ye of Christ? Whose sonne is he? They sayde vnto him: the sonne of David.

43. അവന് അവരോടു“എന്നാല് ദാവീദ് ആത്മാവില് അവനെ 'കര്ത്താവു' എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?”

43. He sayde vnto the: how then doeth David in spirite call him Lorde sayinge?

44. “ 'ഞാന് നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദപീഠം ആക്കുവോളത്തിന്നു എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്ക' എന്നു കര്ത്താവു എന്റെ കര്ത്താവിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു” എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ. “ദാവീദ് അവനെ 'കര്ത്താവു' എന്നു പറയുന്നുവെങ്കില് അവന്റെ പുത്രന് ആകുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

46. അന്നുമുതല് ആരും അവനോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാന് തുനിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

46. And none coulde answere him ageyne one worde: nether dueste eny from that daye forth axe him eny moo questions.
