1. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മനസ്സലിവു ഔര്പ്പിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുനിങ്ങള് ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള ആരാധനയായി നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരങ്ങളെ ജീവനും വിശുദ്ധിയും ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദവുമുള്ള യാഗമായി സമര്പ്പിപ്പിന് .

1. I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercifulness of God that ye make your bodies a quick sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is your reasonable serving of God.

2. ഈ ലോകത്തിന്നു അനുരൂപമാകാതെ നന്മയും പ്രസാദവും പൂര്ണ്ണതയുമുള്ള ദൈവഹിതം ഇന്നതെന്നു തിരിച്ചറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു മനസ്സു പുതുക്കി രൂപാന്തരപ്പെടുവിന് .

2. And fashion not yourselves like unto this world: But be ye changed in your shape, by(changed thorow) the renewing of your wits,(mind) that ye may feel(prove) what thing that good, that acceptable, and perfect will of God is.

3. ഭാവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മീതെ ഭാവിച്ചുയരാതെ ദൈവം അവനവന്നു വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ അളവു പങ്കിട്ടതുപോലെ സുബോധമാകുംവണ്ണം ഭാവിക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാന് എനിക്കു ലഭിച്ച കൃപയാല് നിങ്ങളില് ഔരോരുത്തനോടും പറയുന്നു.

3. For I say (thorow the grace that unto me given is) to every man among you, that no man esteem of himself more than it becometh him to esteem: But that he discreetly judge of himself according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4. ഒരു ശരീരത്തില് നമുക്കു പല അവയവങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; എല്ലാ അവയവങ്ങള്ക്കും പ്രവൃത്തി ഒന്നല്ലതാനും;

4. As we have many members in one body: and all members have not one office:(one manner of operation)

5. അതുപോലെ പലരായ നാം ക്രിസ്തുവില് ഒരു ശരീരവും എല്ലാവരും തമ്മില് അവയവങ്ങളും ആകുന്നു.

5. So we being many are one body in Christ: and every man (among ourselves) one another's members.

6. ആകയാല് നമുക്കു ലഭിച്ച കൃപെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം വെവ്വേറെ വരം ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു പ്രവചനം എങ്കില് വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം,

6. Seeing that we have divers gifts according to the grace that is given unto us, if any man have the gift of prophecy, let him have it that it be agreeing unto(according to) the faith.

7. ശുശ്രൂഷ എങ്കില് ശുശ്രൂഷയില്, ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നവന് എങ്കില് ഉപദേശത്തില്, പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവന് എങ്കില്

7. Let him that hath an office, wait on his office.

8. പ്രബോധനത്തില്, ദാനം ചെയ്യുവന് ഏകാഗ്രതയോടെ, ഭരിക്കുന്നവന് ഉത്സാഹത്തോടെ, കരുണചെയ്യുന്നവന് പ്രസന്നതയോടെ ആകട്ടെ.

8. Let him that teacheth take heed to his doctrine. Let him that exhorteth give attendance to his exhortation. If any man give, let him do it with singleness. Let him that ruleth do it with diligence. If any man shew mercy let him do it with cheerfulness.

9. സ്നേഹം നിര്വ്യാജം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെതീയതിനെ വെറുത്തു നല്ലതിനോടു പറ്റിക്കൊള്വിന് .

9. Let love be without dissimulation. Hate that which is evil, and cleave unto that which is good.

10. സഹോദരപ്രീതിയില് തമ്മില് സ്ഥായിപൂണ്ടു ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നതില് അന്യോന്യം മുന്നിട്ടു കൊള്വിന് .

10. Be kind one to(unto) another, with brotherly love. In giving honour go one before another.

11. ഉത്സാഹത്തില് മടുപ്പില്ലാതെ ആത്മാവില് എരിവുള്ളവരായി കര്ത്താവിനെ സേവിപ്പിന് .

11. Let not that business which ye have in hand be tedious to you. Be fervent in the spirit. Apply yourselves to the time.

12. ആശയില് സന്തോഷിപ്പിന് ;

12. Rejoice in hope. Be patient in tribulation, continue in prayer.

13. കഷ്ടതയില് സഹിഷ്ണുത കാണിപ്പിന് ; പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് ഉറ്റിരിപ്പിന് ; വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങളില് കൂട്ടായ്മ കാണിക്കയും അതിഥിസല്ക്കാരം ആചരിക്കയും ചെയ്വിന് .

13. Distribute unto the necessity of the saints. (and be ready to harbor.)

14. നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പിന് ; ശപിക്കാതെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പിന് .

14. Bless them which persecute you: bless but curse not.

15. സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവരോടുകൂടെ സന്തോഷിക്കയും കരയുന്നവരോടുകൂടെ കരകയും ചെയ്വിന് .

15. Be merry with them that are merry. Weep with them that weep.

16. തമ്മില് ഐകമത്യമുള്ളവരായി വലിപ്പം ഭാവിക്കാതെ എളിയവരോടു ചേര്ന്നുകൊള്വിന് ; നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാര് എന്നു വിചാരിക്കരുതു.

16. Be of like affection one towards another.(Be of one mind among your selves) Be not high minded,(proud) but make yourselves equal to them of the lower sort. Be not wise in your own opinions.

17. ആര്ക്കും തിന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യാതെ സകലമനുഷ്യരുടെയും മുമ്പില് യോഗ്യമായതു മുന് കരുതി,

17. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide aforehand things honest (not only before God, but also)(honesty) in the sight of all men.

18. കഴിയുമെങ്കില് നിങ്ങളാല് ആവോളം സകലമനുഷ്യരോടും സമാധാനമായിരിപ്പിന് .

18. If it be possible, yet on(howbeit of) your part(as much as in you is) have peace with all men.

19. പ്രിയമുള്ളവരേ, നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യാതെ ദൈവകോപത്തിന്നു ഇടംകൊടുപ്പിന് ; പ്രതികാരം എനിക്കുള്ളതു; ഞാന് പകരം ചെയ്യും എന്നു കര്ത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു, എന്നാല്

19. Dearly beloved avenge not yourselves but give room unto the wrath of God. For it is written: vengeance is mine, and I will reward saith the Lord.

20. “നിന്റെ ശത്രുവിന്നു വിശക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അവന്നു തിന്മാന് കൊടുക്ക; ദാഹിക്കുന്നുഎങ്കില് കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടക്ക; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താല് നീ അവന്റെ തലമേല് തീക്കനല് കുന്നിക്കും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

20. Therefore if thine enemy hunger feed him: if he thirst, give him drink. For in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head:

21. തിന്മയോടു തോല്ക്കാതെ നന്മയാല് തിന്മയെ ജയിക്കുക.

21. Be not overcome of evil: But overcome evil with goodness.
