1. അനന്തരം യഹോവ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റില് നിന്നു ഇയ്യോബിനോടു ഉത്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And Jehovah answereth Job out of the whirlwind, and saith: --

2. അറിവില്ലാത്ത വാക്കുകളാല് ആലോചനയെ ഇരുളാക്കുന്നോരിവനാര്?

2. Who [is] this -- darkening counsel, By words without knowledge?

3. നീ പുരുഷനെപ്പോലെ അര മുറുക്കികൊള്ക; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും; എന്നോടു ഉത്തരം പറക.
ലൂക്കോസ് 12:35

3. Gird, I pray thee, as a man, thy loins, And I ask thee, and cause thou Me to know.

4. ഞാന് ഭൂമിക്കു അടിസ്ഥാനമിട്ടപ്പോള് നീ എവിടെയായിരുന്നു? നിനക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കില് പ്രസ്താവിക്ക.

4. Where wast thou when I founded earth? Declare, if thou hast known understanding.

5. അതിന്റെ അളവു നിയമിച്ചവന് ആര്? നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ? അല്ല, അതിന്നു അളവുനൂല് പിടിച്ചവനാര്?

5. Who placed its measures -- if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched out upon it a line?

6. പ്രഭാതനക്ഷത്രങ്ങള് ഒന്നിച്ചു ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കയും ദൈവപുത്രന്മാരെല്ലാം സന്തോഷിച്ചാര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള്

6. On what have its sockets been sunk? Or who hath cast its corner-stone?

7. അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഏതിന്മേല് ഉറപ്പിച്ചു? അല്ല, അതിന്റെ മൂലക്കല്ലിട്ടവന് ആര്?

7. In the singing together of stars of morning, And all sons of God shout for joy,

8. ഗര്ഭത്തില്നിന്നു എന്നപോലെ സമുദ്രം ചാടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള് അതിനെ കതകുകളാല് അടെച്ചവന് ആര്?

8. And He shutteth up with doors the sea, In its coming forth, from the womb it goeth out.

9. അന്നു ഞാന് മേഘത്തെ അതിന്നു ഉടുപ്പും കൂരിരുളിനെ അതിന്നു ചുറ്റാടയും ആക്കി;

9. In My making a cloud its clothing, And thick darkness its swaddling band,

10. ഞാന് അതിന്നു അതിര് നിയമിച്ചു കതകും ഔടാമ്പലും വെച്ചു.

10. And I measure over it My statute, And place bar and doors,

11. ഇത്രത്തോളം നിനക്കുവരാം; ഇതു കടക്കരുതു; ഇവിടെ നിന്റെ തിരമാലകളുടെ ഗര്വ്വം നിലെക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

11. And say, 'Hitherto come thou, and add not, And a command is placed On the pride of thy billows.'

12. ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ അതില്നിന്നു കുടഞ്ഞുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നും

12. Hast thou commanded morning since thy days? Causest thou the dawn to know its place?

13. നിന്റെ ജീവകാലത്തൊരിക്കലെങ്കിലും നീ പ്രഭാതത്തിന്നു കല്പന കൊടുക്കയും അരുണോദയത്തിന്നു സ്ഥലം ആദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

13. To take hold on the skirts of the earth, And the wicked are shaken out of it,

14. അതു മുദ്രെക്കു കീഴിലെ അരകൂപോലെ മാറുന്നു; വസ്ത്രംപോലെ ആസകലം വിളങ്ങിനിലക്കുന്നു.

14. It turneth itself as clay of a seal And they station themselves as clothed.

15. ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്കും വെളിച്ചം മുടങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു; ഔങ്ങിയ ഭുജവും ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.

15. And withheld from the wicked is their light, And the arm lifted up is broken.

16. നീ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ഉറവുകളോളം ചെന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ? ആഴിയുടെ ആഴത്തില് സഞ്ചരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

16. Hast thou come in to springs of the sea? And in searching the deep Hast thou walked up and down?

17. മരണത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകള് നിനക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ? അന്ധതമസ്സിന്റെ വാതിലുകളെ നീ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

17. Revealed to thee were the gates of death? And the gates of death-shade dost thou see?

18. ഭൂമിയുടെ വിശാലത നീ ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ? ഇതൊക്കെയും അറിയുന്നുവെങ്കില് പ്രസ്താവിക്ക.

18. Thou hast understanding, Even unto the broad places of earth! Declare -- if thou hast known it all.

19. വെളിച്ചം വസിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കുള്ള വഴി ഏതു? ഇരുളിന്റെ പാര്പ്പിടവും എവിടെ?

19. Where [is] this -- the way light dwelleth? And darkness, where [is] this -- its place?

20. നിനക്കു അവയെ അവയുടെ അതിരോളം കൊണ്ടുപോകാമോ? അവയുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കുള്ള പാത അറിയാമോ?

20. That thou dost take it unto its boundary, And that thou dost understand The paths of its house.

21. നീ അന്നേ ജനിച്ചിരുന്നുവല്ലോ; നിനക്കു ആയുസ്സു ഒട്ടും കുറവല്ലല്ലോ; നീ അതു അറിയാതിരിക്കുമോ?

21. Thou hast known -- for then thou art born And the number of thy days [are] many!

22. നീ ഹിമത്തിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തോളം ചെന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ? കന്മഴയുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരം നീ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

22. Hast thou come in unto the treasure of snow? Yea, the treasures of hail dost thou see?

23. ഞാന് അവയെ കഷ്ടകാലത്തേക്കും പോരും പടയുമുള്ള നാളിലേക്കും സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. That I have kept back for a time of distress, For a day of conflict and battle.

24. വെളിച്ചം പിരിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതും കിഴക്കന് കാറ്റു ഭൂമിമേല് വ്യാപിക്കുന്നതും ആയ വഴി ഏതു?

24. Where [is] this, the way light is apportioned? It scattereth an east wind over the earth.

25. നിര്ജ്ജനദേശത്തും ആള് പാര്പ്പില്ലാത്ത മരുഭൂമിയിലും മഴ പെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

25. Who hath divided for the flood a conduit? And a way for the lightning of the voices?

26. തരിശും ശൂന്യവുമായ നിലത്തിന്റെ ദാഹം തീര്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഇളമ്പുല്ലു മുളെപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

26. To cause [it] to rain on a land -- no man, A wilderness -- no man in it.

27. ജലപ്രവാഹത്തിന്നു ചാലും ഇടിമിന്നലിന്നു പാതയും വെട്ടിക്കൊടുത്തതാര്?

27. To satisfy a desolate and waste place, And to cause to shoot up The produce of the tender grass?

28. മഴെക്കു അപ്പനുണ്ടോ? അല്ല, മഞ്ഞുതുള്ളികളെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചതാര്?

28. Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

29. ആരുടെ ഗര്ഭത്തില്നിന്നു ഹിമം പുറപ്പെടുന്നു? ആകാശത്തിലെ നീഹാരത്തെ ആര് പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു?

29. From whose belly came forth the ice? And the hoar-frost of the heavens, Who hath begotten it?

30. വെള്ളം കല്ലുപോലെ ഉറെച്ചുപോകുന്നു. ആഴിയുടെ മുഖം കട്ടിയായിത്തീരുന്നു.

30. As a stone waters are hidden, And the face of the deep is captured.

31. കാര്ത്തികയുടെ ചങ്ങല നിനക്കു ബന്ധിക്കാമോ? മകയിരത്തിന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങള് അഴിക്കാമോ?

31. Dost thou bind sweet influences of Kimah? Or the attractions of Kesil dost thou open?

32. നിനക്കു രാശിചക്രത്തെ അതിന്റെ കാലത്തു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കാമോ? സപ്തര്ഷികളെയും മക്കളെയും നിനക്കു നടത്താമോ?

32. Dost thou bring out Mazzaroth in its season? And Aysh for her sons dost thou comfort?

33. ആകാശത്തിലെ നിയമങ്ങളെ നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ? അതിന്നു ഭൂമിമേലുള്ള സ്വാധീനത നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കാമോ?

33. Hast thou known the statutes of heaven? Or dost thou appoint Its dominion in the earth?

34. ജലപ്രവാഹം നിന്നെ മൂടേണ്ടതിന്നു നിനക്കു മേഘങ്ങളോളം ശബ്ദം ഉയര്ത്താമോ?

34. Dost thou lift up to the cloud thy voice, And abundance of water doth cover thee?

35. അടിയങ്ങള് വിടകൊള്ളുന്നു എന്നു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു പുറപ്പെടുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം നിനക്കു മിന്നലുകളെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കാമോ?

35. Dost thou send out lightnings, and they go And say unto thee, 'Behold us?'

36. അന്തരംഗത്തില് ജ്ഞാനത്തെ വെച്ചവനാര്? മനസ്സിന്നു വിവേകം കൊടുത്തവന് ആര്?

36. Who hath put in the inward parts wisdom? Or who hath given To the covered part understanding?

37. ഉരുക്കിവാര്ത്തതുപോലെ പൊടിതമ്മില് കൂടുമ്പോഴും മണ്കട്ട ഒന്നോടൊന്നു പറ്റിപ്പോകുമ്പോഴും

37. Who doth number the clouds by wisdom? And the bottles of the heavens, Who doth cause to lie down,

38. ജ്ഞാനത്താല് മേഘങ്ങളെ എണ്ണുന്നതാര്? ആകാശത്തിലെ തുരുത്തികളെ ചരിക്കുന്നതാര്?

38. In the hardening of dust into hardness, And clods cleave together?

39. സിംഹങ്ങള് ഗുഹകളില് പതുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുമ്പോഴും അവ മുറ്റുകാട്ടില് പതിയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും

39. Dost thou hunt for a lion prey? And the desire of young lions fulfil?

40. നീ സിംഹിക്കു ഇര വേട്ടയാടിക്കൊടുക്കുമോ? ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളുടെ വിശപ്പടക്കുമോ?

40. When they bow down in dens -- Abide in a thicket for a covert?

41. കാക്കകൂഞ്ഞുങ്ങള് ഇരകിട്ടാതെ ഉഴന്നു ദൈവത്തോടു നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോള് അതിന്നു തീന് എത്തിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നതാര്?

41. Who doth prepare for a raven his provision, When his young ones cry unto God? They wander without food.
