1. എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷിച്ചതും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലഭിച്ചതും നിങ്ങള് നിലക്കുന്നതും നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിച്ചതും വൃഥാവല്ലെന്നു വരികില് നിങ്ങള് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമായ സുവിശേഷം നിങ്ങള് പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാല് ഞാന് ഇന്നവിധം നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങളെ ഔര്പ്പിക്കുന്നു.

1. Brethren as pertaining to the gospel(gospell) which I preached unto you, which ye have also accepted, and in the which ye continue:(stand)

2. ക്രിസ്തു നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിന് പ്രകാരം മരിച്ചു അടക്കപ്പെട്ടു

2. by the which also ye are saved, I do you to wit after what manner I preached unto you, if ye keep it, except ye have believed in vain.

3. തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിന് പ്രകാരം മൂന്നാംനാള് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു കേഫാവിന്നും
യെശയ്യാ 53:8-9

3. For first of all I delivered unto you that which I received: how that Christ died for our sins, agreeing(according) to the scriptures:

4. പിന്നെ പന്തിരുവര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഗ്രഹിച്ചതു തന്നേ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആദ്യമായി ഏല്പിച്ചുതന്നുവല്ലോ.

4. and that he was buried, and that he arose again the third day according to the scriptures:

5. അനന്തരം അവന് അഞ്ഞൂറ്റില് അധികം സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും ഒരുമിച്ചു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; അവര് മിക്കപേരും ഇന്നുവരെ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു; ചിലരോ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve;

6. അനന്തരം അവന് യാക്കോബിന്നും പിന്നെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാര്ക്കും എല്ലാവര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

6. After that he was seen of more than five hundred brethren at once: of which many remain unto this day, and many are fallen asleep.

7. എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ഒടുവില് അകാലപ്രജപോലെയുള്ള എനിക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി;

7. After that appeared he to James, then to all the apostles.

8. ഞാന് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരില് ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയവനല്ലോ; ദൈവസഭയെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചതിനാല് അപ്പൊസ്തലന് എന്ന പേരിന്നു യോഗ്യനുമല്ല.

8. And last of all he was seen of me, as of one that was born out of due time.

9. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് ആകുന്നതു ദൈവകൃപയാല് ആകുന്നു; എന്നോടുള്ള അവന്റെ കൃപ വ്യര്ത്ഥമായതുമില്ല; അവരെല്ലാവരെക്കാളും ഞാന് അത്യന്തം അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാല് ഞാനല്ല എന്നോടുകൂടെയുള്ള ദൈവകൃപയത്രേ.

9. For I am the least of all the apostles, which am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the congregation of God:

10. ഞാനാകട്ടെ അവരാകട്ടെ ഇവ്വണ്ണം ഞങ്ങള് പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു; ഇവ്വണ്ണം നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. But by the favour(grace) of God I am that I am. And his favour(grace) which is in me was not in vain: but I laboured more abundantly than they all, (yet) not I, but the favour(grace) of God which is with me.

11. ക്രിസ്തു മരിച്ചിട്ടു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്നു പ്രസംഗിച്ചുവരുന്ന അവസ്ഥെക്കു മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങളില് ചിലര് പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

11. Whether it were I or they, so have we preach, and so have ye believed.

12. മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എങ്കില് ക്രിസ്തുവും ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിട്ടില്ല

12. If Christ be preached how that he rose from death:(the dead:) how say some that are among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead?

13. ക്രിസ്തു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിട്ടില്ലെങ്കില് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രസംഗം വ്യര്ത്ഥം; നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസവും വ്യര്ത്ഥം.

13. If there be no rising again(resurrection) of death:(the dead:) then is Christ not risen.

14. മരിച്ചവര് ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നില്ല എന്നു വരികില് ദൈവം ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അവന് ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ചു എന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷ്യം പറകയാല് ഞങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്നു കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷികള് എന്നു വരും.

14. If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also in vain.

15. മരിച്ചവര് ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നില്ല എങ്കില് ക്രിസ്തുവും ഉയിര്ത്തിട്ടില്ല.

15. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God. For we have testified against(of) god how that he raised up Christ, whom he raised not up, if it be so that the dead rise not up again.

16. ക്രിസ്തു ഉയിര്ത്തിട്ടില്ല എങ്കില് നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം വ്യര്ത്ഥമത്രേ; നിങ്ങള് ഇന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

16. For if the dead rise not again, then is Christ not risen again.

17. ക്രിസ്തുവില് നിദ്രകൊണ്ടവരും നശിച്ചുപോയി.

17. If it be so that Christ rose not, then is your faith in vain, and yet are ye in your sins.

18. നാം ഈ ആയുസ്സില് മാത്രം ക്രിസ്തുവില് പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് സകല മനുഷ്യരിലും അരിഷ്ടന്മാരത്രേ.

18. And (thereto) they which are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished.

19. എന്നാല് ക്രിസ്തു നിദ്രകൊണ്ടവരില് ആദ്യഫലമായി മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. If in this life only we believe(hope) on Christ, then are we of all men the miserablest.

20. മനുഷ്യന് മൂലം മരണം ഉണ്ടാകയാല് മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനവും മനുഷ്യന് മൂലം ഉണ്ടായി.

20. (But) Now is Christ risen from death,(the dead) and is become the first fruits of them that slept.

21. ആദാമില് എല്ലാവരും മരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ക്രിസ്തുവില് എല്ലാവരും ജീവിക്കപ്പെടും.
ഉല്പത്തി 3:17-19

21. For by a man came death, and by a man came resurrection of death.(the dead.)

22. ഔരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ നിരയിലത്രേ; ആദ്യഫലം ക്രിസ്തു; പിന്നെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവര് അവന്റെ വരവിങ്കല്;

22. For as by Adam all die: even so by Christ, shall all be made alive,

23. പിന്നെ അവസാനം; അന്നു അവന് എല്ലാവാഴ്ചെക്കും അധികാരത്തിന്നും ശക്തിക്കും നീക്കം വരുത്തീട്ടു രാജ്യം പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തെ ഏല്പിക്കും.

23. and every man in his own order: The first is Christ, then they that are(belong unto) Christ's(Christis) at his coming.(when he commeth)

24. അവന് സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും കാല്ക്കീഴാക്കുവോളം വാഴേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

24. Then cometh the end, when he hath delivered up the kingdom to God the father, when he hath put down all rule, authority,(and all superiority) and power.

25. ഒടുക്കത്തെ ശത്രുവായിട്ടു മരണം നീങ്ങിപ്പോകും.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 110:1, യെശയ്യാ 32:1

25. For he must rule(reign) till he have put all his enemies under his feet.

26. സകലത്തെയും അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കീഴാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ; സകലവും അവന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് സകലത്തെയും കീഴാക്കിക്കൊടുത്തവന് ഒഴികെയത്രേ എന്നു സ്പഷ്ടം.

26. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

27. എന്നാല് അവന്നു സകലവും കീഴ്പെട്ടുവന്നശേഷം ദൈവം സകലത്തിലും സകലവും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു പുത്രന് താനും സകലവും തനിക്കു കീഴാക്കിക്കൊടുത്തവന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 8:6

27. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest, that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

28. അല്ല, മരിച്ചവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി സ്നാനം ഏലക്കുന്നവര് എന്തു ചെയ്യും? മരിച്ചവര് കേവലം ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നില്ലെങ്കില് അവര്ക്കുംവേണ്ടി സ്നാനം ഏലക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?

28. When all things are subdued unto him: then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all things.

29. ഞങ്ങളും നാഴികതോറും പ്രാണഭയത്തില് ആകുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?

29. Other(Either) else what do they which are baptised over the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they (then) baptised over the dead?

30. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കല് എനിക്കു നിങ്ങളിലുള്ള പ്രശംസയാണ ഞാന് ദിവസേന മരിക്കുന്നു.

30. (Yea) And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

31. ഞാന് എഫെസൊസില്വെച്ചു മൃഗയുദ്ധം ചെയ്തതു വെറും മാനുഷം എന്നുവരികില് എനിക്കു എന്തു പ്രയോജനം? മരിച്ചവര് ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നില്ലെങ്കില് നാം തിന്നുക, കുടിക്ക, നാളെ ചാകുമല്ലോ.

31. by our rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesu our Lord, I die daily.

32. വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെടരുതു, “ദുര്ഭാഷണത്താല് സദാചാരം കെട്ടുപോകുന്നു.”
യെശയ്യാ 22:13, യെശയ്യാ 56:12

32. That I have fought with beasts at Ephesus after the manner of men, what advantageth(helpeth) it me, if the dead rise not again? Let us eat and drink, tomorrow we shall die.

33. നീതിക്കു നിര്മ്മദരായി ഉണരുവിന് ; പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പിന് ; ചിലര്ക്കും ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു പരിജ്ഞാനമില്ല; ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലജ്ജെക്കായി പറയുന്നു.

33. Be not deceived: malicious(evil) speakings corrupt good manners.

34. പക്ഷേ ഒരുവന് ; മരിച്ചവര് എങ്ങനെ ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നു എന്നും ഏതുവിധം ശരീരത്തോടെ വരുന്നു എന്നും ചോദിക്കും.

34. Awake truly out of sleep,(right up) and sin not. For some have not the knowledge of God. I speak this unto your rebuke.

35. മൂഢാ, നീ വിതെക്കുന്നതു ചത്തില്ല എങ്കില് ജീവിക്കുന്നില്ല.

35. But some man will(might) say: how shall the dead arise? with what(what manner of) body shall they come? (in)

36. നീ വിതെക്കുന്നതോ ഉണ്ടാകുവാനുള്ള ശരീരമല്ല, കോതമ്പിന്റെയോ മറ്റു വല്ലതിന്റെയോ വെറും മണിയത്രേ വിതെക്കുന്നതു;

36. Thou fool, that which thou sowest, is not quickened except it die.

37. ദൈവമോ തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ അതിന്നു ഒരു ശരീരവും ഔരോ വിത്തിന്നു അതതിന്റെ ശരീരവും കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

37. And what sowest thou? Thou sowest not that body that shall be: but bare corn (I mean either of wheat, or of some other)

38. സകല മാംസവും ഒരുപോലെയുള്ള മാംസമല്ല; മനുഷ്യരുടെ മാംസം വേറെ, കന്നുകാലികളുടെ മാംസം വേറെ, പക്ഷികളുടെ മാംസം വേറെ, മത്സ്യങ്ങളുടെ മാംസവും വേറെ.

38. and God giveth it a body at his pleasure, to every seed a several body.(will, and unto every one of the seeds his own body)

39. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗീയ ശരീരങ്ങളും ഭൌമശരീരങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടു; സ്വര്ഗ്ഗീയശരീരങ്ങളുടെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ, ഭൌമ ശരീരങ്ങളുടെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ.

39. All flesh is not one manner of flesh: but there is one manner flesh of men, another manner flesh of beasts, another manner flesh of fishes, and another of birds.

40. സൂര്യ്യന്റെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ, ചന്ദ്രന്റെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ, നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ തേജസ്സു വേറെ; നക്ഷത്രവും നക്ഷത്രവും തമ്മില് തേജസ്സുകൊണ്ടു ഭേദം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

40. There are celestial(heavenly) bodies, and there are bodies terrestrial:(earthly bodies) But the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.(but the heavenly have one glory, and the earthly another)

41. മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനവും അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ. ദ്രവത്വത്തില് വിതെക്കപ്പെടുന്നു,

41. There is one manner glory(clearness) of the sun, and another glory(clearness) of the moon, an another glory(clearness) of the stars. For one star differeth from another in glory.(for one star excelleth another in clearness)

42. അദ്രവത്വത്തില് ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നു; അപമാനത്തില് വിതെക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, തേജസ്സില് ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നു; ബലഹീനതയില് വിതെക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, ശക്തിയില് ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നു;

42. So is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, and riseth(shall rise) in incorruption.

43. പ്രാകൃതശരീരം വിതെക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, ആത്മികശരീരം ഉയിര്ക്കുംന്നു; പ്രാകൃതശരീരം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് ആത്മിക ശരീരവും ഉണ്ടു.

43. It is sown in dishonour, and riseth in honour.(glory) It is sown in weakness, and riseth in power.

44. ഒന്നാം മനുഷ്യനായ ആദാം ജീവനുള്ള ദേഹിയായിത്തീര്ന്നു എന്നു എഴുതിയുമിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ, ഒടുക്കത്തെ ആദാം ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ആത്മാവായി.

44. It is sown a natural body, and riseth a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body.

45. എന്നാല് ആത്മികമല്ല പ്രാകൃതമത്രേ ഒന്നാമത്തേതു; ആത്മികം പിന്നത്തേതില് വരുന്നു.

45. As it is written: The first man Adam was made a living soul: and the last Adam was made a quickening spirit:

46. ഒന്നാം മനുഷ്യന് ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവന് ; രണ്ടാം മനുഷ്യന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നുള്ളവന് .

46. but(Howbeit) that is not first which is spiritual: but that which is natural, and then that which is spiritual.

47. മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവനെപ്പോലെ മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവരും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗീയനെപ്പോലെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗീയന്മാരും ആകുന്നു;
ഉല്പത്തി 2:7

47. The first man is of the earth, earthy: The second man is from heaven, heavenly.(the second man is the Lorde from heaven.)

48. നാം മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവന്റെ പ്രതിമ ധരിച്ചതുപോലെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗീയന്റെ പ്രതിമയും ധരിക്കും.

48. As is the earthy, such are they that are earthy: And as is the heavenly, such are they that are heavenly.

49. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, മാംസരക്തങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ അവകാശമാക്കുവാന് കഴികയില്ല, ദ്രവത്വം അദ്രവത്വത്തെ അവകാശമാക്കുകയുമില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് പറയുന്നു.
ഉല്പത്തി 5:3

49. And as we have born the image of the earthy, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly.

50. ഞാന് ഒരു മര്മ്മം നിങ്ങളോടു പറയാം

50. This say I brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Neither doth corruption inherit uncorruption.

51. നാം എല്ലാവരും നിദ്രകൊള്ളുകയില്ല; എന്നാല് അന്ത്യകാഹളനാദത്തിങ്കല് പെട്ടെന്നു കണ്ണിമെക്കുന്നിടയില് നാം എല്ലാവരും രൂപാന്തരപ്പെടും. കാഹളം ധ്വനിക്കും, മരിച്ചവര് അക്ഷയരായി ഉയിര്ക്കുംകയും നാം രൂപാന്തരപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.

51. Behold I shew a mystery unto you: we shall not all sleep: but we shall all be changed,

52. ഈ ദ്രവത്വമുള്ളതു അദ്രവത്വത്തെയും ഈ മര്ത്യമായതു അമര്ത്യത്വത്തെയും ധരിക്കേണം.

52. and that in a moment,(suddenly) and in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound(time) of the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall blow, and the dead shall rise incorruptible: And we shall be changed.

53. ഈ ദ്രവത്വമുള്ളതു അദ്രവത്വത്തെയും ഈ മര്ത്യമായതു അമര്ത്യത്വത്തെയും ധരിക്കുമ്പോള് “മരണം നീങ്ങി ജയം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയ വചനം നിവൃത്തിയാകും.

53. For this corruptible must put on incorruptibility: and this mortal must put on immortality.

54. ഹേ മരണമേ, നിന്റെ ജയം എവിടെ? ഹേ മരണമേ, നിന്റെ വിഷമുള്ളു എവിടെ?
യെശയ്യാ 25:8

54. When this corruptible hath put on incorruptibility: and this mortal hath put on immortality: then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is consumed into victory.(then shall the word be fulfilled that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory.)

55. മരണത്തിന്റെ വിഷമുള്ളു പാപം; പാപത്തിന്റെ ശക്തിയോ ന്യായപ്രമാണം.
ഹോശേയ 13:14

55. Death where is thy sting? Hell where is thy victory?

56. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം നമുക്കു ജയം നലകുന്ന ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം.

56. The sting of death is sin. (:and) The strength of sin is the law:

57. ആകയാല് എന്റെ പ്രിയ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് ഉറപ്പുള്ളവരും കുലുങ്ങാത്തവരും നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രയത്നം കര്ത്താവില് വ്യര്ത്ഥമല്ല എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാല് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വേലയില് എപ്പോഴും വര്ദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്നവരും ആകുവിന് .

57. But thanks be unto God, which hath given us victory thorow our Lord Jesus Christ.
